How To Deal With Hunger And Weakness In Ramadan?
The month of Ramadan has begun and every Muslim wants to worship this month with full enthusiasm. Everyone, young and old, is passionate about it. Most people suffer from hunger and weakness during the long fast of 15 hours. Yet their devotion does not diminish. Weakness throughout the day can also be caused by a lack of sleep, poor diet, and depression. You can easily overcome the weakness of fasting by following some methods.
Deep Breathe:
The most important thing to overcome the weakness in fasting is to breathe properly. When we don’t breathe properly, our lungs get less oxygen, which in turn causes the body to emit less carbon dioxide. As a result, the carbon dioxide left in the body begins to damage the body’s cells. And we start to feel weak. Similarly, when we breathe well, our body carries more oxygen which provides energy to the cells. And we don’t feel weak. Therefore, breathe well during fasting so that the weakness caused by going on an empty stomach does not increase due to a lack of oxygen in the body.
Do Exercise:
It is often believed that exercise reduces energy, which causes weakness, while not at all. Exercise removes the body-damaging toxicity hormones that increase energy. This is how exercise competes with laziness. Therefore, in order to avoid weakness and increase energy in fasting, it is necessary to do light exercise after Sehri or Iftar.
Eat healthy food:
The biggest cause of hunger and stomach upset in Ramadan is the unhealthy food eaten at Sahar and Iftar. People eat the food of their choice at Iftar and Sehri without thinking about the effect of this food on them while fasting. In this way, they start getting hungry either after Sehri and if they eat too much, their digestion becomes bad and they start getting thirsty.
To avoid these problems, it is best to choose a diet that contains all kinds of energy-providing ingredients. In the sehari, a diet of Carbohydrates should be eaten to restore energy for a long time. Protein foods should be eaten during Iftar as proteins strengthen the muscles. Include healthy foods in your diet to avoid hunger during the day.
Drink water:
A variety of beverages are served at Iftar. And people drink a little water and drink more beverages, including caffeinated beverages. Drinking other beverages instead of water during Iftar from Sehar dehydrates the body, which makes the fasting person feel weak. Therefore, it is important to drink as much water as possible from Iftar during Sahar so that the needs of the body’s cells can be met and maximum toxins can be excreted.
Engage yourself in the worship of Allah with all these things so that your attention is diverted from hunger. Prayers, recite the Quran and study religious books so that you get spiritual strength and you forget your hunger.
In order to avoid hunger and weakness in Ramadan, it is important that you choose a food that has a good effect on your health. Instead, eat foods that affect your prayers and do not take full advantage of the month.
